Our on-site workshops and purpose built SVA test centre are based at the world famous Donington International Racetrack in Derbyshire, with easy access from the M1, M42, A50, A6 (Manchester West) and Nottingham East Midlands Airport.

SVA (Single Vehicle Approval) is a pre-registration scheme. The main purpose is to ensure cars and light goods vehicles that were constructed for non-European Union markets comply with British law.
Before the vehicle can be used on public roads they will be inspected to see if they have been designed and constructed to modern safety and environmental standards.
Even vehicles outwardly similar to European-specification models, but intended for other markets, can often be unsuitable for use in Britain without at least some modification.
Commercial or Personal import, your vehicle will be subject to the SVA scheme.
1: Contact us with your vehicle details.
2: We will arrange to collect your vehicle from anywhere in the UK.
3: We will apply to VOSA on your behalf for an SVA test slot.
4: We will prepare your vehicle for it's SVA test.
5: SVA Test is undertaken on site.
6: If the vehicle is over 3 years old we will MOT it.
7: We will apply to the DVLA for your UK registration.
8: Road tax collected and Number Plates made.
9: Your car is ready for collection.
VDS Automotive are proud to have a VOSA approved designated premises for IVA testing. This means unlike some competitors offering IVA preparation alone we have a Government licence to IVA test your vehicle on site in our state of the art ISO17025 accredited testing facility.
As designated premises we have daily contact with VOSA and can usually have your vehicle IVA tested within 5 days of application.
